- Obituary - Alice had a lifelong love of growing flowers and gardening. She also loved to play bingo, crochet and do embroidery work. Blossoms graced the yard of her home and most of the inside windows. She canned jellies, pickles, and all kinds of fruit during the years of raising her family. She prided herself on her ability to bake Norwegian Christmas cookies of many kinds. She was an active member of the United Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake attending circle and making quilts. Later in life, she and Verner spent winters in Mesa, Arizona. She was very active for her age. She was able to drive her own car and cut her lawn until her death. She loved walking her little dog Bailey several times each day. She also enjoyed travel, going on many trips with her husband Verner. She toured Norway with her daughter Barb. Three short weeks ago, she had a very enjoyable seven day Caribbean cruise with her daugters and grandchilren. On February 23, 2005, she had a sudden stroke and one week later God took her to her new home.
